<p>Aura makes <strong>vodka cocktails without carbonation</strong> — a still canned drink in a category that is otherwise almost entirely hard seltzer. There is no CO2 in the can, so there are no bubbles, no fizz and none of the tight, over-full feeling that makes people stop after one.</p> <h3>Why carbonation is the problem</h3> <p>The bubbles in a seltzer are dissolved carbon dioxide held under pressure. Once the can is open and the liquid warms in your stomach, that gas comes back out of solution — and it has to go somewhere. For a lot of drinkers that shows up as bloating, pressure and discomfort an hour later. Removing the carbonation removes the cause.</p> <h3>What a still cocktail tastes like</h3> <p>Carbonation is also an aggressive flavour tool: it scrubs the palate and hides a rough spirit.
